330 Half Truths

“‘What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are – the Holy One of God!’ ‘Be quiet!’ said Jesus sternly’” (Mark 1:24,25).

I often wonder why Jesus did not want the evil spirits to speak out about Him. Would it not have enlightened more people as to who He was and even about His divinity? I know there was a set time for Him to die and to pre-empt that would upset Your perfect plan, Father. But surely, You are in control of everything and You could have overcome that, as indeed You did at other times (Luke 4:30, John 5:18).

I will never accept praise from the domain of the enemy. He is a liar and his followers are the same. They will always mix a little truth with their lies to be accepted. If you come to believe what they say, you will be drawn into error without seeing the transition. This is the plight of multitudes in the world today. They come to some acceptance of Jesus in their spiritual search, but He is placed alongside error. He is seen as something less than He is; a prophet, a good man perhaps. But truth mixed with error is not truth. And it will result in them missing the opportunity of a future of joy and blessing with Me (Proverbs 16:25). Beware the half truth, listen only to My Spirit.
