“The hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the Word of the Lord” (2 Chronicles 30:12).
Lord, what does it take to see Your hand on our people? There seems to be a proliferation of prayer rising up, not only here but around the world: prayer movements, prayer chains, prayer walks, down to the humblest prayer meeting of just a few faithful people. Why are we seeing so little change, so few victories, at least in the Western world? Do we have to wait till our leaders humble themselves? That is daunting.
You have been counting: only four of Judah’s kings from Solomon to Hezekiah ended their lives as humble servants of Mine, four out of 12. And out of that four only two were faithful to Me all their lives. But throughout all those centuries of apostasy, there were those who kept the truth alive (Romans 11:2-5). They had to suffer the consequences of their evil leadership along with their countrymen, yet because they were faithful, the truth was preserved and revived when a king with a heart for Me arose. Is it any different now?
Many things are happening in your land. These do not reach the headlines but My Spirit is at work. Your part is to stay true to Me, to pray in faith, to suffer with grace along with your people. And when the day comes for all to be revealed, you will see the effects of your life of devotion and receive the reward I have for you.
