374 How to be Blessed

“First I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world” (Romans 1:8).

Paul’s statement here has reminded me of my country, Australia. Looking around, and especially at our media, one would not think there was much faith here at all. Yet there seems to be a stream of people coming from overseas talking about a great revival to occur here, despite appearances. O Lord may it be so. Home groups do seem to be proliferating where small numbers of Christians are gathering regularly to seek Your face, Lord, and work to bring Your kingdom here on earth.

My children all over the world are facing an increase in ungodliness and many are crying out for My power to be revealed. Such cries do not go unheard. Even in the darkest places on earth My Spirit is revealing truth and changing lives. But on the world scene, Australia can have a big role to plan in My plans in a way that few of My children yet understand.

My promise to My servant Abraham, so many millennia ago, has always stood firm: “I will bless those who bless you” (Genesis 12:3). Even in the recent history of the 20th century, those nations who have stood by Abraham’s descendants, My Jewish people, have experienced great blessing and have been used powerfully to spread the truth of the gospel. Obvious examples are the British Empire and USA. Study and see how I blessed them as long as they blessed Israel. And Australia has had historic links with My people through the traumatic events of the last century, especially in both World Wars. If she will stand true to her in these days of increasing anti-Semitism, My blessing will be seen upon her.*
