293 An Invitation

“Jesus replied, ‘A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests’” (Luke 14:16).

These were invited to the feast but, as was Eastern custom, they didn’t know exactly when it was. They got involved in other things so that when the call came to attend it was inconvenient. I am invited to the greatest banquet of all time, the wedding feast of the Lamb. Keep my heart open to you, Lord. By Your Spirit help me to keep everything in life in an open hand, ready to drop it and go when You summon me.

How often you could be in My presence now, feeding from My table, but you have something else to do. Learn to hear My call now. Learn to leave all other matters and come with an open and uncluttered mind to receive from Me. Trust Me with the things that must be left undone. There is so much I want to share with you.
