303 Planting the Seed

“… who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 1:4).

Here Paul is saying that the truth about Jesus was proved by what happened to Him, His resurrection. I often hear Christians saying that we don’t have to say a word; our lives will show what we believe. The Scriptures give a lot of accounts of people being converted through preaching and teaching, but I can’t just recall any mention of someone’s life having that effect. So is this statement not true?

These things go hand in hand. As all impressions from the world come to you through your body, so you also pass out impressions to the world that way. Your manner of life ploughs the soil, prepares the ground so the seed of the Word can flourish when it is planted. After it is planted and received, the way you live continues to nourish, encourage and strengthen its growth.

But we fail so often to truly represent You!

There is great power in a seed. It can survive a lot of setbacks. You can safely leave that to Me.
